Many people had commented on the Debbie Bliss yarn collection…and I have to say, after I knitted with it, I fell in love with it! The yarn is so soft to touch and it has a layer of shine to it under the sunlight. After the Rowan Cashsoft yarn, this is another yarn that i didn’t want to put it down! I was using a pattern from Stitch’n Bitch Nation. Less than 6 balls were needed and waaaala! This is the most successful top I have so far and I just love it. I can dress it up or down by using different ribbons and it’s definatley a must for this summer!

I have that book & didn’t like the pattern, but your is lovely, I think I’ll be knitting that after all!
Thanks! I was wearing it today and got lots of compliments from my colleague. I did not switched the top part to mohair like the pattern. I find it to “revealing”!
I hope you will enjoy this pattern too.
I agree with Elanknits, I flipped the book in Chapters, and found that their sample in the book looks totally different from yours. Yours is amazing , elegant and just beautiful.
Regarding to the ribbon, how about sewing ‘double layered’ ribbon to make it more sturdy? You are right, it’s a bit too ’soft’ …
(you can ask your mom to do this favor for you , hehe)
Thanks, Lillian! You’re absoluately right, I can sew the two ribbons that I bought - one beige and one burgundy and sew them together to make it more sturdy! You’re so talented……:)
So cute! I love the color with the cream ribbon. Nice work!
Hi. I love your version of the StitchnBitch sweater! I have a question for you.In the version that changes to the mohair, the number of stitches is doubled because of the different yarns.Does the pattern change if you use the same yarn throughout? And if so, would the sleeve count be different also? I hope that you can help me and I hope that my question makes sense. Thanks so much, Stacey.
Hi Stacey,
I was knitting my top with the same yarn throughout so I have similar situation like you. I did not follow the pattern once it called for the mohair part. I basically kept the same amount of stitches working in st st after the belt loops. When it comes to the underarm, I cut the stitches in the pattern in half (since they doubled everything) and followed it through. Same with the sleeves, divide the co in half if you’re using the same yarn as the body.
I hope this answers your questions.
Thanks for browsing my site and happy knitting!
